On July 6, the Queen of Historical Romance
passed on. Kathleen E. Woodiwiss left behind
a wealth of historical novels, read and beloved
by people all over the world.
I've always been a big fan of Kathleen's, starting
with her first Romance, "The Flame and The Flower".
I think I've read every one of her books. I know
she's the main reason I write historical romance
today.
Her ability to produce characters you either loved,
or loved to hate, as well as the words she used so
judiciously to describe a scene inspired many of the
romance writers of today.
She did plotting and character development
so well, her stories will be sorely missed.
