The Journey

Late blogging today. But this morning was - weesh!  (New word)  We went to the grocery store. We have a great super market in this area called Publix. You can print your grocery list on your computer from their online weekly advertisement. It tells you the item, the savings (like two for the price of one) or so much off! It tells you what aisle you'll find the item, and you can add your own items, find the right aisle in their list of grocery items and them print the whole thing out to take with you.

Okay, grocery list in hand (We have a kid here for the holiday and more coming in two weeks, good deals, so time to stock up!) Here we are, me, my DH and twenty million other people!!!

What a mistake. The twenty million was a slight exaggeration but there were sure a lot of people. However, one of the great things about the south is how nice people are around here. Of course, the only way I can shop is in one of the electric carts. I have my O2 container in the basket as I'm huffing and puffing my way along, marking off items on my list. Everywhere I wheeled the machine (which I am not very good at driving) I had people trying to help. Could it be they were scared to death I would knock them over as I wheeled my way through the store???

Then - I got to the carryout and the woman in front of me had at least 50, maybe 60 coupons. Not the day for coupons. But the clerks were great. They load everything up and take you to your car. It is a great place to shop.

Only one bad part. I had to put everything away when I got home.  DH helped, thank the lord, but way the time we got finished I was pooped!

All of this is to explain why I'm so late with this post.  (grinning) In a pinch, any excuse will do.

At least the pumpkin pie is done. And tomorrow we are having a ready made meal of pot roast. All I have to do is heat the meal and make my Sausage dressing.  Are you sure you want to know why pot roast and sausage dressing?

Tradition of course! Bird or no bird (my boys don't like turkey) we have to have sausage dressing.

So, I've decided to take tomorrow off.  I will not be blogging tomorrow.  Back on Friday.

Have a great Thanksgiving if you celebrate, and our Jewish friends are celebrating as well so, Happy
Hanuka.
